What it is: Ring Video Doorbell

Ever wondered who was walking by your front door every day? With the Ring Video Doorbell you can talk to and see anyone who comes by through your phone or tablet! The bell has a built-in camera with customizable motion sensor, HD video and two-way talk. The camera also comes with infrared night vision and a weather resistant design that allows you to monitor your home no matter what time of day or season. The Ring connects to the internet and has an app that alerts you every time motion is detected. You can also connect the Ring to your Alexa or Google home!

Worried about installation? Well, it only takes about 5 minutes for the basic Ring doorbell and the device comes with everything you need to easily screw it into your doorframe (trust us, we own one and did it ourselves!). Every doorbell also comes with a 1-year warranty, ensuring that if something happens to your doorbell, it will be replaced no questions asked.

Currently there are four generations of Ring doorbells out, and they all come with the free basic security plan that allows you to access the customizable motion sensory and the video/talk functions. If you really want to beef up security though, you can choose from two different packages. The Protect Basic Package ($3/mo. or $30/yr.) includes everything in the free package, plus access to the videos of every Ring, Motion and Live View event for up to 60 days, while the Protect Plus Plan ($10/mo. or $100/yr.)  and get an extended warranty and 10% off all future ring purchases.
