(BEDFORD,Tex., July 15, 2021)—Integris was part of a small, select group of managed IT providers to test windows 365 Cloud PC, Microsoft’s revolutionary new operating system in the cloud, and was cited in Microsoft’s product announcement yesterday. The addition of the Cloud PC product allows employees to access the Windows operating system from any device—making it possible to work from any computer or tablet, anywhere, with full streaming access to the documents, software and security programs they would have at their work desktop.

Qualified companies in Integris’s service areas can request a free demo of the product. Companies can request a customized test drive at: https://iconicit.com/contact-us/

“Lots of companies have been enjoying the collaboration and efficiency that comes from cloud software like Office 365, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams. But now that the Window’s operating system has been put fully in the cloud, Microsoft has closed the loop and made that critical last step to creating a personal PC cloud experience,” said Matt Topper, Integris’s director of operations, and one of the staffers who worked on the trial. “It will revolutionize how we think of workspaces, onsite server farms, and our laptops, too.”

Iconic worked with Microsoft directly during the product development and beta testing stage, offering its feedback on the service, which is expected to become widely available to clients by late summer or early fall, according to Microsoft’s estimates.

When companies upgrade to Microsoft Windows 365 Cloud PC, they will get a streaming operating system that is:

  • Powerful: with all their applications, tools, data and settings from the cloud across any device, providing versatile, scalable processing power and storage running Windows 10 or (in late 2021) Windows 11 at a per-user per-month price.
  • Simple: with easy to download deployment, updates and management —without the need for virtual networks.
  • Secure: with Windows 365 that’s secure by design, leveraging the power of the cloud and the principles of Zero Trust. Information is secured and stored in the cloud, not on the device. Always up to date and building on the strength of rich Microsoft security capabilities and baselines, Windows 365 simplifies security and recommends the best security settings for the environment at hand.
  • Economical: with laptops, phones and tablets that will no longer need to be replaced so they can run the latest operating systems. With operating systems in the cloud, that’s no longer a concern.

“Having worked with this product directly, I can tell you, it will revolutionize how Integris works with its customers in the future,” Topper said. “We’ll be able to spend less time focusing on installations and permissions, and more time working on the right software and networking strategies that will help address our client’s business needs. It’s an exciting time to be in the tech industry, and we’re proud to have been part of the development of the Windows 365 Cloud PC,” he added.

Iconic hopes to be first in line to offer Windows 365 Cloud PC when it is released this fall.
