The Wichita Business Journal has recognized Merleta G Mohr, Virtual Information Office (vCIO) at Integris, in their “Women Who Lead” series, Technology category, on March 27, 2020.

The Wichita Business Journal celebrates women who lead across all industries. The feature is designed to recognize women who unselfishly offer guidance and learning opportunities for women, both professionally and personally.

Merleta Mohr has been with Integris for three years. She describes her thoughts on this nomination:

“I was surprised by the nomination and really humbled. I think this really is recognition for Integris and the team here in Wichita. I could not be successful with all of them. I am happy to be a part of this organization every day.”

Her friend and mentor, Chris Hoose, VP of Financing at Integris, says that it’s an honor to have her as a leader in our company and as an advocate for our customers. He continues, “Merleta is certainly deserving of this award. She often says that ‘work is her currency,’ and she spends her currency improving our team as one of our leaders.  She leads by example with her dedication to the success of Integris and understands that our success is achieved through the success of our customers.”

Nicklas Herrera, another mentor and inspirational figure for Merleta, said that it was no surprise to hear that she was nominated. “She is a very talented member our our team and brings an impressive level of business acumen to help lead our company as well as provide great service to our clients. I appreciate all that she does for Integris.”

Merleta explains, “Sharing experiences and insight with the women that I have had the opportunity to work with and to see their growth and contribution has been a particular joy to me. Connecting with women and discussing business insights, industry trends, vision and empowerment in this industry continues to elevate us all in our pursuits.”

She goes on to advise young women seeking a future in STEM: “Develop and exercise a productive curiosity. If you wish something worked a certain way, find it, make it or collaborate. If you have an idea don’t spend a lot of time thinking or talking about it – just action it.”
