Just over a month after releasing Office Mobile for iPhone, Microsoft has finally launched Office Mobile for Android phones. The new app for Office 365, available for subscribers only, is designed for phones, but not tablets. If you’re using a tablet, Microsoft recommends Office Web Apps.

Currently the service is only available in the United States; but according to The Verge, Microsoft has plans to gradually offer it in other markets. Android users with Office 365 subscriptions are now able to access and edit Excel, Word, and PowerPoint documents from their phones. The new app offers quick editing features that smartphone users prefer.

Office Mobile for Android phones can be found in the Google Play Store with subscriptions starting at $9.99 a month, or $99.99 a year for the Home version. The Home Version allows users to install it on five devices, including Macs, PCs, or smartphones. The Small Business Version starts at $5 a month per user, or $60 a year per user, for up to 25 users.

Office 365 is available on all of the most popular smartphone platforms, including Windows Phone, iPhone, and Android. If you have a Microsoft Office 365 subscription, you can now take it with you wherever you go.
