Welcome back to another Team Highlight! Today, meet Evan from Integris’ New Jersey office.
Could you describe your role/what you do in 2-3 sentences?
Over the course of a day, I could design a network for a new office space, install a new server, deploy multi-factor authentication, perform a new client assessment, mentor junior engineers or help wrestle with a complicated technical problem among many many other things. I also get the opportunity to explore and test new technology or implement something for the first time.
How did you become interested in your profession as a career?
I built my first computer in middle school and when I learned my hobby could make money the rest is history.
What’s your favorite part of your job?
New client assessments and building new environments.
Outside of work, what do you enjoy doing? What are some of your hobbies?
Lots of time spent with my wife and our two boys, 5 and 3, and the family dog. I am also the 1st Assistant Chief at the volunteer fire company in town.
Your favorite movie?
Blues Brothers.
What are some things you love about the place you currently live?
We live about 30 minutes from the Jersey shore and in a very safe and quiet town.
Are you an early bird or a night owl?
I don’t usually get to choose, I can be either one when required.
What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
Try to be helpful as much as you can.
If you could have a superpower, what would you want and why?
The ability to clone myself, lots to get done and we could divide and conquer without having to talk about anything.
