Welcome back to our Team Highlight! Today, meet Holly from Integris’ office in Austin, Texas.

Could you describe your role/what you do in 2-3 sentences?

I am one of the Service Managers in the Austin, TX region over the Service Desk, Service Coordinators, and Quality Assurance. Service Desk supports the company mission by delivering high-level customer service Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support. Service Coordinators quickly and accurately depicting all avenues of the intake process while maintaining back-end support. Quality Assurance Analyst strives to seek better methods and processes to help ensure the delivery of a quality standard from the teams in their day–to–day activities through process improvement and quality checks for standardization.

How did you become interested in technology/IT as a career?

I was always the person in my family who would help someone else with technology-related issues – even when I was younger. Then I had an opportunity to do Sales at a computer shop at 17 and quickly fell in love with learning from the techs in the back who did the building and troubleshooting. So learning from the sales side of what each component does helps someone to learn to build and troubleshoot them. I have always had amazing opportunities to be in the technology world and help people. Knowing how I am helping someone – through technology – felt like I hit the jackpot.

What’s your favorite part of your job?

All parts are great – even the challenging parts because I get the satisfaction of knowing I overcame something or had a true chance to succeed or fail and learn. But my FAVORITE part is being able to help my team and be the best Leader for them I can for their success. When I see their success it’s a great feeling.

Outside of work, what do you enjoy doing? What are some of your hobbies?

My family is what it’s all about. Whatever my kids like or want to do – that is what I like to do. Any time without them is work, school, or chores. My smile comes from my family’s smile.

Your favorite game?

I am your typical PC Gamer nerd – World of Warcraft (for the horde) is my go-to. If I could get extra time in the day you would see me here, or playing alongside my husband or son. Any PC games new/old – I prefer PVP or MMORPG games specifically.

What are some things you love about the place you currently live?

San Antonio is top-notch. The weather is always consistent (HOT). There are a ton of family things to do here and with a city this large it’s like you are always discovering something. My closest family is here so wheterh if it’s a day at SeaWorld or a nice little drive to a small outer city market, we have something to keep us going.

Are you an early bird or a night owl?

I am an early bird – thanks to my kids more than anything. I used to be a night owl but my kids have changed my clock since they like to naturally wake up at 5 am and be on the move.

Where do you see yourself 10 years from now?

Still here at Integris – with all the opportunity we have who knows at what but I am excited for the future here. Personally, still living in and loving Texas, but possibly closer to an office. Most important, just wherever I need to be for my family to make sure they continue to thrive.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?

Always be the person you want for yourself. As a leader – always remember to why I became a leader and hold true for anyone I am leading. Same with personal – someone is always watching, and you get what you put in. Between Family, friends, or strangers – hold true to what you put out in the universe.

If you could have a superpower, what would you want and why?

Enhanced Intelligence – so I can always be doing things better. Professionally to ensure my processes and teams are efficient and successful but also so I can be efficient and thrifty personally to know that I am running my household and family successfully. Knowledge is key and I would have more opportunities to enhance and share.
