Winter Storms Continue To Threaten Businesses In The U.S.

by

January 5, 2014

On top of last week’s snowstorms, the National Weather Service has now issued a major winter storm warning for a large portion of the United States. Snow accumulations in some areas are expected to exceed 24 inches, closing roads and businesses as well. This will cause an added burden to the states that are still under a state of emergency due to last week’s storm.  It looks like businesses will continue to stay closed for a while due to these recurring storms because their employees can’t get to work.

Important!

  • Have you set up Remote Access to your business data so your employees can work from home?
  • Do you have a Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery in place to ensure the security of your data?
  • If not, you must do so immediately to protect your business!

Remote Access

Remote Access is a secure cloud-based system with file sharing that enables your employees to work from home when your office is shut down. With a computer and Internet access in their home or wherever they are, your employees can continue to work, access business files, and stay connected to you and your customers.

Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery

In addition to Remote Access your business needs a Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plan to ensure your IT stays up and running, data can be accessed from anywhere at anytime, and it can be recovered in the event of a data loss or hardware damage. Together they ensure your business can stay up and running in the event of power outages, property damage, or even cybercrime and computer viruses.

You must implement Remote Access & and a Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plan before the storm strikes!
