Cloud computing allows a lot of flexibility for work life balance during holiday weekends, like this coming Independence day.

We understand more than ever work life balance makes happier, healthier and more efficient employees. Though we only have 20 employees many of us have children. And it becomes especially evident during the summertime, when the kiddos are off, that it’s essential to have the right tools in place to aid employees in their work life balance.

Cloud computing provides numerous benefits to businesses seeking to improve work life balance. IT service providers are making it easier and easier for small businesses to adopt comprehensive cloud solutions.

Work Anywhere From Any Device

When I say comprehensive I mean cloud solutions that allow employees to access everything they need to work from any location. Many cloud solutions enable employees to simply visit a website on any device, log in, access all server files and use all their programs. You can imagine the freedom this provides for weekends like this.

Transition Easily

Because workers access files and programs through the web the interface is similar no matter the device. It’s easy to work at home, from the office or maybe at a cabin, assuming the Internet connection is high speed, and have the same experience.

To illustrate, if one of my coworkers is taking off a little early so he can beat the traffic to Dallas, he can log in and work from his personal computer once he gets there. Many of these platforms will even open up everything you were working on before you logged out. So you can pick up exactly were you left off.

It is essential for people to unplug during a break, but we feel really lucky to have the tools to work during this holiday weekend when we need to. There are numerous other reasons to consider cloud computing such as easy scaling, reducing capital costs, instant back-ups, but weekends like this remind us that flexibility is a great reason to start researching the cloud.

Happy Independence Day. Have a safe holiday.
