We’re putting members of the Integris team in the spotlight with our Team Highlight segment. Today, meet Anita from Integris’ Atlanta office.
Could you describe your role/what you do in 2-3 sentences?
As the Director of Strategic Solutions – Atlanta, I am a trusted client partner that provides virtual CIO and strategic advisory. The Strategic Solutions Advisors review the operational maturity of our clients and guide them through the ever-changing cybersecurity landscape.
How did you become interested in technology/IT as a career?
I began my career as a software developer and migrated to internal IT based on a development environment.
What’s your favorite part of your job?
My favorite part of my job is working with our clients. I am excited to assist with providing a standardization of hardware and software, along with getting to know their business as they grow.
Outside of work, what do you enjoy doing? What are some of your hobbies?
I enjoy being with my family. My husband and I like getting out on the lake and taking long walks. I love music so it is a part of every day!
Your favorite album?
As mentioned previously, I love music. No specific album. My husband and I have recently gotten into jazz. We enjoy Boney James, Dave Koz, Mindi Abair, Johnathan Butler to name a few. I am also a big Yacht Rock fan and crossover country like Zac Brown Band, Keith Urban, and Darius Rucker.
What are some things you love about the place you currently live?
We have been in the Peachtree Corners/Norcross area of Atlanta for many years. We have raised our family there. It gives us a small community while offering the larger city nearby. The climate is great because we experience all seasons.
Are you an early bird or a night owl?
This is a hard one… I love to sleep in on the weekends, so early bird may not fit. I am in the middle here.
Where do you see yourself 10 years from now? (Doesn’t have to be work-related!)
Wow, 10 years is hard to imagine. I don’t think I will ever retire, but I may have a reduced or redefine work situation by then. I hope to have grandchildren by then!
What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
In big letters – DON’T PANIC! My husband reminds me when needed. I tend to take on everything myself. Work hard to keep things in perspective.
If you could have a superpower, what would you want and why?
I would like to fly. I love the beach but it is a long drive from Atlanta. If I could fly, I would be on the beach more often.
