Welcome back to another Team Highlight! Today, meet Jed from Integris’ Atlanta office.
Could you describe your role/what you do?
I spend most of my time researching cybersecurity, compliance, and cloud services to create blogs that help businesses overcome operating obstacles with technology. I’ve been in the managed IT services field since 2003 and enjoy the challenge of making IT strategy and infrastructure a little more exciting. Software seems to get all the attention, and I want to change that.
What is the one thing that you wish other people knew about the work you do?
Ninety percent of the content I create is non-promotional. (Bragging about your MSP is so 2008!) I strive to be a transparent, unbiased teacher who answers the burning questions business owners, CFOs, IT directors, and other executives are asking.
Outside of work, what do you enjoy doing? What are some of your hobbies?
Long walks with my dog, fitness classes at the YMCA, playing drums, studying music, learning to sing, reading, tuning into podcasts, surfing in Costa Rica, and watching screwball comedy movies.
If you could have dinner with any famous person, alive or dead, who would it be and why?
Mike Rowe from Dirty Jobs. He’s intelligent, accomplished, motivational, hilarious, magnanimous, and has a very diplomatic way of addressing his critics.
If you could have a superpower, what would you want and why?
Unlimited flexibility and limberness because I really dislike stretching.
