Integris® Launches Mobile Device Management Services, Allowing SMBs to Easily Configure, Manage and Support Mobile Devices
New Offering Makes Managing Mobile Devices Seamless for SMBs
Atlanta – July 26, 2012 – Integris, a provider of IT support, strategy and services for small and medium-sized businesses, announced today a new mobile device management service to help SMBs configure, manage and secure corporate and employee-owned mobile devices.
With the availability and affordability of smartphones and tablets, many SMBs are seeing the importance of managing mobile device use across the company. Mobile devices have drastically changed business and, whether it is with a company issued device or BYOD (bring-your-own device) initiative, made it possible for employees to take advantage of remote connectivity and work from any location, at any time. However, many SMBs struggle with the resources to properly manage and secure this mobile device use across the company. From configuration of devices for new employees to data security and managing vulnerability threats, most SMBs lack the bandwidth or expertise to enjoy the added mobility without the potential for risk.
“In an increasingly mobile world, SMBs especially are limited in the resources to manage every aspect of mobile device use across the company,” said Hamish Davidson, president and co-founder of Integris. “Our mobile device management service alleviates this problem, taking care of everything from configuring devices to monitoring, supporting, data security and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures,”
With its Mobile Device Management, Integris will:
Enroll – Enroll new and existing mobile devices.
Configure – Apply corporate settings including Microsoft Exchange, Wi-Fi, VPN and LDAP, as well as configure and apply third party email, such as POP and IMAP.
Collect – Collect detailed information on device type, name, model, serial number and more. Capture carrier network, phone number and data roaming settings. Collect hardware data, including processor, memory, hard drive space and battery life.
Secure – Provision and enforce security policies. Set and enforce passcode complexity levels and history tracking. Define and enforce device auto-lock after inactivity periods and/or apply grace periods. Program auto-wipe following a specified number of failed login attempts. Enforce restrictions, such as access to app stores, camera and browser security.
Service – Apply profiles to a single device or globally to a group of devices based on location or device type. Create dynamic groups that enable auto-wipe or auto-lock actions in case of a misplaced or stolen device.
